What do I love about this photo?
Let me count the ways:
1. It's in front of a sewer grate, plus: steam.
2. Emily seems inordinately happy, and she's really good at it because she probably isn't, considering I positioned her in front of a weird steaming grate and said only this: "Make your face good."
3. Also: her happy face is perfectly positioned in the far third of the photo, which is ideal.
Pure joy. I will look at this picture whenever I am sad. Love the crop.
ReplyDeleteThe winky eye in this photo just kills me. But I love the picture and the steam just adds a little "something" to the happiness of the picture!
ReplyDeleteI like this photo mainly because I always seem to like photos where the main subject isn't perfectly centered. It always makes the photos seem more realistic, and less like glamour shots from a mall kiosk. And the fact that this photo was orchestrated by only saying, "Make your face good," is an accomplishment in itself. Well done.
