My photo
I like this photo of Nikki because of her placement in relation to Park Hall in the background. I also like that it shows off the sunglasses she insisted on, despite the cloudy day. I like that the angle shows some detail in her boots.

A look at Devin Webb
Here's my favorite photo of Devin. Even though it's pretty cheesy and staged, this is where she spends her time. I like the sense of place this gives. The gloomy weather takes the focus off everything else and places it on her.
and here's my second favorite. She kind of gets lost in the midst of everything here, but pops out slightly because of her color. You could expand this analogy in so many ways, which is why I like it.

My photo
Photo
This picture is of Drew trying her best to recreate Joe's facial expression in the photo next to her. I am not a very good photographer, so luckily her facial expression is strong enough to still make this photo look cool. I also had to borrow the camera I used to take this photo, so props to my group for lending me their cameras during the photo session.
Adam's Photo
Absolutely
I love this photo of Emily and Megan because it was a completely awkward moment but it didn't come out that way at all.
They both look great and look genuinely happy.
I think the colors from their clothing and the plants around them add to the beauty of this picture.
It gives brightness to their smile.
I love pictures that are in-the-moment!
Drew's close-up of Jordan
Even though this photo probably isn't the best quality, I really like it because it seems so genuine. I was definitely trying to embody the persona of a creepy photographer, but Jordan was an excellent model and didn't seem phased by my stalking. It is a candid picture, and it looks like a candid picture. That's what I like about it. This assignment taught me that when trying to capture photos of someone, catching someone off guard - when they're not posing - is often the best way. Favorite Photo
I love this picture of Holly for a lot of reasons. I asked her before I took it if she rides in trucks very often, and she said that she didn't. I immediately wanted to take the picture. I wanted to put her in a setting that seemed out of her comfort zone and her norm, but I think that she looks completely comfortable here. She's leaning on the tailgate like she's done it a thousand times before this picture. Plus I love that there's a truck just randomly parked out next to Park Hall. You never know what you'll find on this campus anywhere at anytime of the day.
Sophie's Photo
omg emily welker

What do I love about this photo?
Let me count the ways:
1. It's in front of a sewer grate, plus: steam.
2. Emily seems inordinately happy, and she's really good at it because she probably isn't, considering I positioned her in front of a weird steaming grate and said only this: "Make your face good."
3. Also: her happy face is perfectly positioned in the far third of the photo, which is ideal.
